Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Genoma Space (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using Genoma Space, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
1. Platform Overview
Genoma Space is a student-centric digital marketplace that enables users to:
- Discover and offer services
- Collaborate on projects
- Communicate through in-platform messaging
- Execute transactions via an escrow-based payment system
- Participate in verified partner programs
Genoma Space acts as a facilitator, not as a direct service provider.
2. Eligibility
To use Genoma Space, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Provide accurate and complete account information
- Maintain only one active account unless explicitly permitted
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Accounts & Access
3.1 User Accounts
Users may browse public content without registration. Certain features require account creation. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
3.2 Seller Enablement
All users begin as buyers. Seller functionality may be enabled after meeting platform requirements. Seller access may be restricted, suspended, or revoked at our discretion.
4. Services & Projects
4.1 Service Listings
Sellers may publish services with defined scope, pricing, and tiers. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listings.
4.2 Custom Requests
Buyers may submit custom project requirements. Sellers may accept, reject, or propose pricing and timelines. No order is created until mutual agreement is confirmed.
5. Orders & Escrow Payments
5.1 Order Initialization
An order is created only when:
- Scope, pricing, and timeline are agreed
- Seller accepts the order
- Buyer completes payment
5.2 Escrow
Buyer payments are held securely in escrow. Funds are released only upon buyer approval or dispute resolution. Genoma Space does not act as a bank or payment institution.
6. Deliverables & Acceptance
- Sellers must deliver work as per agreed requirements.
- Buyers must review deliverables within the allotted timeframe.
- Acceptance releases escrowed funds to the seller (minus platform fees).
- Failure to respond may result in automatic resolution.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, both parties may submit evidence. Platform reviewers assess submitted requirements, seller deliverables, and communication records.
7.1 Dispute Outcomes
- Buyer refund if requirements are not met
- Seller payout if requirements are fulfilled
- In both cases, platform fees remain non-refundable. Platform decisions are final.
8. Fees
Genoma Space charges a service fee on completed transactions. Fees are deducted before seller payout. Fee structures may change with notice.
9. Messaging & Communication
All project communication must occur within the platform. Off-platform solicitation, spam, or harassment is prohibited. We may monitor communications solely for safety, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
10. Partner Programs & Data Sharing
Genoma Space may collaborate with verified educational and hiring partners. Limited user data may be shared as described in the Privacy Policy. Users may manage or withdraw consent at any time via settings.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Circumvent escrow or platform fees
- Abuse messaging or dispute systems
- Upload malicious, illegal, or infringing content
- Attempt unauthorized access or scraping
Violations may result in suspension or termination.
12. Intellectual Property
Sellers retain ownership of original work unless otherwise agreed. Buyers receive rights as defined by the service agreement. Genoma Space retains rights to platform content, branding, and software.
13. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, fraudulent behavior, or legal compliance. Termination does not affect completed financial obligations.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genoma Space is not liable for indirect damages. We do not guarantee project outcomes or earnings. Platform availability is provided “as is”.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Genoma Space from claims arising from your use of the platform, your content or services, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Modifications
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction lies with courts located in [Punjab/India].
